Flamenco Dancing and Other Adventures in Alcala

So, a couple weeks ago Katy and I found these ridiculous and fabulous sweaters for cheap so we decided to buy them. Of course. Anyway be excited for (drum roll please...) Sweaters Stories! They will be making random appearances for the remainder of this study abroad.
*above picture courtesy of Chelsea who was busting a gut when she took it.

Here we are at the Kebap restaurant post-purchase where we ate pizza because we just couldn't take the craving anymore. The wait progressed into a photo shoot with the fabulous mirror behind us.

My talent of using very intense and expressive eyebrows revealed itself. It was only a matter of time.

Right before we had our first Flamenco lesson and explored the city feeling very dramatic.
Katy didn't quite get the memo, but she is adorable, ain't she?

I would like to dedicate this photo to AT&T: More bars in more places

In Spain we have been really enjoying an added measure of Scripture study, quality time, and delicious gummy candy. I feel like this picture captures that well. :)

Welcome to Segovia!

Yes. This is how I feel about being in Spain.

I decided is was a good time for a girl band picture and luckily Chelsey already had a name picked out = Eve's Fallen. Here they are I see sold out venues in the future.

Isn't Segovia beautiful?! Unfortunately it was also freezing but we didn't let that stop us. We enjoyed a full day of exploring and seeing things with our fabulous tour guide Antonio who has will accompany us on most of our trips.
I want a door like this.

Cathedral of Segovia
That tiny person at the bottom is me these are huge buildings! How did they make this?

Main Cathedral of Segovia: I had another moment where I look up and choke up in breathless wonder in this building - it is becoming a frequent occurrence.

This is the castle that Disney based it's castle off of.

This is as close to the view they would have had when the castle was built as possible because they are not allowed to build modern buildings in sight from the castle.

We are on top of the castle here and in the background is a cathedral. I love these girls and this country!

never-ending spiral stair of death to the top of the castle - we definitely got our workout in

Moral of the story: always look up.

I love this

The walls here have different patterns because it helps to make the snow not stick, beside the fact that they are gorgeous.

Roman Aqueduct: This is an amazing marvel that totally blows my mind. You know they didn't even use mortar.

This is Where I Live!

Above are beautiful pictures of the local cathedral. We hope to attend mass sometime.

Anywho, my pictures always upload in the opposite order they occur, so the following is a pictorial record of some amazing adventures exploring the area of Alcala de Henares where we live. It is a beautiful slow town and has tons of history. We also decided to take 'senior pictures' since I felt like everywhere we go would be and ideal location for photo shoots.

Michelle is beautiful and hilarious and I love to take candid photos of her :)

I fell in love with this lamp. I feel like the globes look like shooter marbles.

city walls at sunset

Michelle is so adventurous! Don't worry, I waited to catch her at the bottom.

The local hobo-town - we decided it would be a great place for taking pictures and enjoyed the flocks of storks all over.

Palace where Catherin of Aragon was born

Chelsey and I tried and failed to touch our noses with our tongues

Katy, Michelle and Ashley suceeded

... just singin and dancin in the rain (minus the rain)

The crew! Aint we cute?

The artist in me came out and Katy took some pictures of me sketching
