So one of my favorite things has been to go to the Panteon de Goya, an old hermitage chapel that has been converted into a museum for Goya. He is buried here and the ceilings are covered with his frescoes. It is such a peaceful beautiful place and I have gone several times to draw and think. I am really going to miss it.
Another favorite is this view! That is the cathedral of Madrid in the distance and it is glorious. What am I going to do when I have to leave this glorious place?
Favorite thing #3 = Bocadillos. Irene makes the most delicious bocadillos ever. Any time we are gone for lunch our host mom makes these sandwiches for us where we each get half a giant loaf of fresh bread. It is glorious.
